Development Process
This project tasked students to reproduce an illustration from Pernkopf's Atlas of Topographic and Applied Anatomy. My process in reproducing this piece was to create vectored shapes on separate layers that composed of various parts of the knee in Adobe Photoshop. I rendered each part separately in greyscale and then combined them into one layer towards the end of the creative process.
Reproducing the Illustration
Completing with Colour
To add colour, I created additional layers with a Overlay blending effect. Playing around with opacity and layer effects, I painted over the black and white image until I achieve the desired colours that matched the original illustration.

Complete!
The final illustration sees a successful reproduction of one of the illustrations from Pernkopf's Atlas of Topographic and Applied Anatomy.
